Controlled Ventilator Type CV
The Domelite® CV Ventilator is a modular snap-on frame unit. It is designed to provide the maximum open ventilation area on all four sides of the rooflight whilst increasing the overall height of the assembly by only 113 mm.
The ventilator on each of the four sides can be opened and closed independently by means of a spring assisted lever. The unit is constructed of extruded aluminium sections fully assembled and welded at each corner and with four extruded aluminium dampers, one on each side. It has an integral weather cowl and incorporates a mesh insect screen.
Hinged Ventilation Units
Principally for areas requiring high levels of ventilation, hinged ventilators consist of the glazing unit hinged to a splayed upstand, with an aluminium weather hood. Operation is by a single or double worm screw gear, dependent on size. Control may also be by continuous cord or electric motor. Ventilation areas for all types of unit when fully open are set out in the table below.

* Hinged units – Ventilators are hinged on the longer side in all cases except the 900 mm x 750 mm size which is hinged on the shorter side.
Installation Procedure
1.The upstands must be drilled on site for direct fixing to the roof deck or builder’s curb. The use of 50 mm No. 10 gauge screws at 300 mm centres is recommended.
2. Roof finish should be applied before ventilators and dome tops are fixed.
3.Ventilators, where specified, are placed on top of the splayed upstand and fixed by simple hand pressure at the points above the clips. A distinct snapping noise will be heard as the clips lock into place.
4.The assembly is completed by fixing the dome or pyramid top in the same way.

Domelite® MK 5 rooflight access hatch/pyrovent automatic fire vent, as supplied by Messrs. Vikon Valiant Skylite (pty) Ltd.
The unit to be supplied complete with aluminium splayed upstand with integrated counter flashing and snap-on glazing frame. The plastic Dome edge must be framed with an aluminium frame. On no account must any Mounting holes be drilled through the plastic Dome’s mounting flange, all other fixing details are to be carried out strictly according to the manufacturer’s specification.

Warrantees
Domelite® MK 5 rooflight systems are warranted against the effect of defective design, materials or construction for a period of one year from the date of installation, provided they are fixed strictly in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. This warranty is limited to replacement or repair of materials supplied and does not include consequential damage. All in accordance with the express warranty
